Legislature- a deliberative body of persons, usually elective, who are empowered to make, change, or repeal the laws of a country or state; the branch of government having the power to make laws, as distinguished from the executive and judicial branches of government.
Sluggishly- 1) indisposed to action or exertion; lacking in energy; lazy; indolent: a sluggish disposition.
                    2) not acting or working with full vigor, as bodily organs: a sluggish liver.
                    3) slow to act or respond: a sluggish car engine.
                    4) moving slowly, or having little motion, as a stream.
                    5) slow, as motion.
                    6) slack, as trade, business, or sales.
Gargle- 1) to wash or rinse the throat or mouth with a liquid held in the throat and kept in motion by a stream of air from the lungs. –verb (used with object)
              2) to gargle (the throat or mouth).
              3) to utter with a gargling sound. –noun
              4) any liquid used for gargling.
              5) a gargling sound.
Wrought- 1) elaborated; embellished.
                  2) not rough or crude.
                  3) produced or shaped by beating with a hammer, as iron or silver articles.
Tyranny- 1) arbitrary or unrestrained exercise of power; despotic abuse of authority.
                  2) the government or rule of a tyrant or absolute ruler.
                  3) a state ruled by a tyrant or absolute ruler.
                  4) oppressive or unjustly severe government on the part of any ruler.
                  5) undue severity or harshness.
                  6) a tyrannical act or proceeding
Slicked- 1) Smooth, glossy, and slippery: sidewalks slick with ice.
2) Deftly executed; adroit: "as slick as a sonnet, but as dull as ditch water".
3) Shrewd; wily.
4) Superficially attractive or plausible but lacking depth or soundness: a slick writing style.
